As evidence that the king-sized luxury SUV segment is alive and well, Jeep enters the fray with the Grand Wagoneer L.

Boasting a class leading 131 cubic feet of available cargo space, the GWL can swallow just about anything you want to throw in the back – surfboards, mattresses, a jacuzzi?

It’s a shame the truck’s profile is so bizarre (something about the pillar/roofline blend doesn’t sit well), because the rest of this rig is dynamite.

The interior is lavish, with the details worth investigating, and the new “Hurricane” twin-turbo 6-cylinder is as potent as it is smooth.

If I never had to get out of it, I’d have one of these over the Escalade ESV, but when it comes time to park it and walk away with some pride, the Caddy sends a better message.
